We exist in a more complex world than ever before. While collectively we can recognize that being a teenager today must be more challenging, confusing, overwhelming and exciting than it was 10, 15, 20 years ago, we also know that the fundamental issues teens face in their lives and on their path toward adulthood have not changed.

In anticipation of Spy Hop’s 15th anniversary, this exhibition explores what it means to be a teenager, a milestone of sorts, which ushers in a new sphere of knowledge, experience, and possibility. Fifteen takes audiences inside the world of today’s youth culture from across the Salt Lake Valley.

Organized by Spy Hop, this exhibition reveals discerning responses to major questions facing a generation of young and dynamic minds. What are teenagers afraid of? How do they differ from teens in other generations? What they have to say might surprise you.
