Artists Against the Bomb

October 16–March 27, 2026

Artists Against the Bomb is a traveling exhibition advocating for universal nuclear disarmament, comprising more than 250 historical and newly commissioned works that trace the rich cultural history of global protest movements. Featuring contributions from a diverse roster of international and regional artists, musicians, writers, and activists, the exhibition underscores the urgent necessity of collective action and public refusal.

The presentation at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art highlights powerful works from the broader project—including pieces by legendary collectives like the Guerrilla Girls, pioneering sculptor Magdalena Abakanowicz, foundational photomontage artist Peter Kennard, feminist art icons Judy Chicago & Donald Woodman, and local Salt Lake City-based artist Cara Despain.

Artists Against the Bomb is organized by Estudio Pedro Reyes in collaboration with The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), recipient of the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize.

Supported by Elliott-Hall Co.; Dan and Gisella Chace; Helen and Jeffrey Cardon; John and Ann Malloly; and Utah Division of Arts & Museums
