Jude is a visual communication designer and educator who works at the intersection of design and art and has over a decade of experience in the field. He brings his expertise and practice into education by using dialogue to explore ways to encourage conversation. His practice revolves around exploring how people define community, identity and culture via multidisciplinary approaches – ranging from artist books to public space installations. He’s dedicated to unearthing improved ways of creating connection by focusing on how people relate to each other and the spaces they inhabit, and the navigational skills involved for effective communication. He currently is focused on language documentation and the impact of architecture in former colonial states. He is also a team member at Tampered Press, a publication that centers on creating more platform and visibility for writers and visual artists in Ghana, Africa and the diaspora.
Jude has an MFA from the School of the Art Institute and currently lives in Salt Lake City. He is a faculty member within the Department of Visual Arts and Design at Weber State University.
